India

United Kingdom

UAE
A majlis in the dunes at dusk, or a ballroom with the skyline behind it. Short flights, big arrivals.

Thailand

Sri Lanka
Colonial villas on a headland, tea country an hour inland, and far fewer people than anywhere else on this list.

- Two monsoons run opposite each other, so the coast follows the month.
